Official rules say the government should keep gifts worth more than £140 unless ministers pay the value over that limit
Keir Starmer has bought a pair of personalised silver cufflinks which were given to him by Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, according to the latest transparency records.
The cufflinks, which were worth more than £140, were an official gift from the Trumps during the US president’s second state visit last September. They were the second giift from Trump that Starmer has chosen to buy, having paid for a personalised necklace last year.
