A volatile press conference led to an even more heated faceoff between Misfits champion Carla Jade and ex-UFC fighter Pearl Gonzalez on Thursday.
Ahead of their boxing match on Saturday, the fighters were trading verbal bombs on stage with Jade taking aim at Gonzalez’s career after she competed in the UFC, BKFC and now in boxing.
“Failed UFC career. Failed bare-knuckle career,” Jade said. “Come over here to the influencers because she’s out of work.”
In response, Gonzalez fired back saying “failed career but you have four kids and no baby dad.”

That led to a string of insults from Jade as she went on the attack as the incident continued to escalate. To absolutely nobody’s surprise, facing the fighters off a few moment later didn’t go very well.
While they didn’t get too close to each other, that didn’t stop the Misfits champion from slapping Gonzalez across the face as security quickly pulled her away before a fight broke out on stage.
“What are you going to do about it?” Jade shouted from the other side of the stage.
The fight serves as a title bout on the Misfits Boxing card happening on Saturday with the women’s middleweight title going up for grabs. Most recently, Jade scored a split decision win over former BKFC title challenger Taylor Starling while Gonzalez made her Misfits debut with a victory over another bare-knuckle veteran in Tai Emery.
