Mother dies protecting son injured from dog attack at grandmother's home - Los Angeles Times

An Arizona mother was visiting her mother's home in Big River, Calif. on Friday. One of her mother’s dogs had recently had puppies, which were in a cardboard box near the front door, the release said. The child went near the box and was attacked and his mother stepped in to protect him.
